Possibly a very dumb question
Message:
Just now getting back into fishing after about 10 years off (just started again in August), I tend to get confused regarding lmits and size minimums. In the Anglers guide what is the size limit say for trout when it is not listed? Same for the creel limit. One area I am thinking of in particular is the Sagatuck es. I know it has an 18 minimum for Walleye, but I dont know of a minimum for trout. Thanks in advance if anyone can fill me in., I just don't want to be in violation. For the most part I am catch and release unless I catch something this year to bring home and eat.

Unless otherwise specified for a particular body of water, there is no minimum size for trout. Just make sure that you're not in a special area, like a Trout Management Area (aka TMA) or a tidal river. Actually, if you're going to fish for trout in unfamiliar places, you better carry an Angler's Guide with you or have it available on a smartphone.
