Went with my two buddies today......It rained the whole time. Came prepared this week with a few nippers.....it helped.
Right off the hop a slimedart on a stickbait
20 minutes later a 14" brown on a jointed x-rap
For the next 45 minutes we all threw stick baits....NaaaDaaaa
I decided to throw a grub...a yum fat albert in water melon
Second cast, A small guy...correct species anyway
As we worked down the bank, I get a back lash...a pretty deep one. As I'm working it pulling line out...maybe 60 feet or so...
I got it out......nice
Better than that a fat 2 lber on the dead stick..SWEET!!
Next cast...another around 2.5 lbs. From the back of the boat too!!
Funny thing.....my two buddies went to soft plastics...Lol
One threw a tube and the other a grub......They each boated a few keepers.
I changed my grub color to a black red flake and got one more pretty close to 3 lbs.
We packed it in around Noon....Hit AJ's on the way home for some wings and what not
Not a bad day. Never turned on the electronics so no temp report, it seemed that the bass were getting a bit more active

Sounds like a good day despite the weather. I haven't been out on the water, just some shore fishing since my kayak is upstate. :( It sure would be nice to be out there. Glad someone was and a had good day to boot.
