SNAFU 7/8
Message:
Headed out early morning to try for stripers and some blues to top off the shark bait freezer.
Hit Bartletts Reef at first light slinging eels on 3-ways with no luck except catching lobster pot lines.
Headed over to Great Gull Island and trolled some swimmers, lost 2 blues and marked plenty of bass hiding behind the bolders. Could not get them to take our eels as we drifted threw the area.
Last stop was the Race close to Little Gull Island. It seemed like the fleet was having a tough day as the charters and party boats were moving all over the Race, I'll assume tring to find a consistant school of fish.
Spent the next 3 hours there drifting over the same hump with a steady pick of blues and bass. All caught on bucktails on 3-ways, tried diamonds but the fish were holding on the bottom tight where a bucktail was better suited.
Ended up with 15 blues and 2 short bass by 10AM.
