Barkhamsted River

Anyone have any news on Barkhamsted? Im going to make a trip there later on in the week and im wondering if the water is too high or if it has been heavily fished lately. A buddy of mine said last week there were people shoulder to shoulder, not my idea of a good time. Is it worth the 45 min drive?
