Subject:
*putnam lake* and lost lake?? (correction)
Message:
Never fished either of the two, but was looking at google maps satellite view of putnam lake to check it out and see where access is and I noticed a lost lake near it that looks good but no access to it. Anyone familiar with any of the two and how to get in and how they're fishing?

Both are in New York. For Putnam Lake you need to be part of the PLCC ($200-$300 a year)which is the Putnam Lake Community Council, and they check! My uncle went fishing on Lost lake 30 years ago and a home owner on the lake shot him with a shotgun (salt buckshot). It took my grandmother 2 hours to get the burning salt out of his rear end! Great Thanksgiving conversation. God rest his soul.
Anyways there are huge White Perch in Put Lake and monster Bullhead Catfish. The bass are good too. Lost lake was drained 15 years ago and man did it stink! The found 12 lb largemouth and bigger Cats!
I grew up in New Fairfield (right up the street) and worked at the Put Lake Market for like 12 years. That's how I know a bit about the local attractions.
Good luck if you venture down there!
