Lake Winnemaug

Been checking out spots to hit up with the new kayak does anyone have any experience fishing Lake Winnemaug in Watertown?

Winnemaug can be a lot of fun for ok sized LMB and decent sized chain pickerel. It was extremely weedy and unfishable by mid may last year though. If you find that it is somewhat clear (of weeds) though, keep in mind that the water is extremely murky and the back cove has an island in it that large pickerel seem to gather around.
