Candlewood Lake - 05/27/2011
Message:
Second trip of the year down to Candlewood Lake in Danbury/Brookfield/Sherman/New Milford, Connecticut. Friday May 27, 2011 On the water at 07:00 off at 15:30 Clear skies, light wind, calm water and seasonably warm temps started the day off...fish were biting from the start. Water temp was a balmy 68 degrees on the surface. Afternoon was hot and the wind picked up a bit, but still somewhat manageable and the fish kept hitting consistently. Landed largest fish of the day by 07:45, 17.5" 2.5-2.75 lb Small Mouth that put up a good fight. Lots of moderately sized Small Mouths as well as some fairly large Yellow Perch. Surprisingly only one Large Mouth Bass that was of moderate size. There was a club tournament on the water that day and the numbers we pulled (not in the tournament) were right up there with the top finishers. I'll try to post pictures once i'm allowed to use links :D
