Shore fishing Lake/Pond Thread

There aren't a lot of spots (that I know of) in the area around me that are worth fishing and have good shore access. So, I was thinking maybe we should all post spots that we know of that are worthwhile and have good shore access for those of us without a boat. Here are mine: -Farmington Reservoir, wide open shore access at the dam end. -Rt. 4 Gravel Pit Ponds (not sure if this is a legal spot as I am pretty sure I heard gunshots to scare me out of there the other night). This spot will be overgrown very soon but is loaded with bass. -Mondo Ponds (when I live in Milford), but it seemed to eventually be fished out. -Lake Mohegan upper pond in Fairfield, lots of chain pickerel. -Batterson Park Pond, although I will say it is the closest to me and I never fish it because I have had no luck, and the bucket brigade is usually everywhere. -Nod Valley WMA, probably my new favorite spot, but I can only fish it when my gf has off so we can go in the jeep.

great thread... Risley Reservoir, vernon/bolton... summer tho, lots of swimmers on end where main parking area is. Bigelow pond ... pretty much can walk the whole shore Union pond Manchester, but water kind of icky and there are usually lots of people there. assorted spots on CT river...better when water is lower, especially in enfield area. Walker reservoir in Vernon. Vally Falls in Vernon, but lots of swimmers. Bolton Lakes, although I always seem to get snagged a lot at the north end of middle bolton lake and upper bolton gets really grown over.. Lower bolton off of 44 seems busy a lot. Eagleville dam... some river off of exit 70 (84)... near rt 32. farmington river in eas granby by the gorge.. tho the bank is steep. I'm sure are plenty more but that's all I can think of. I want to go out today, but where ever I go is going to be packed..ugh.
