Hello Connecticut Fishermen!
Message:
I've recently decided to try my luck on some of the gorgeous bodies of water that this state has to offer. I figured, what better way to learn about the better spots than to join this forum?! Does anyone know some good areas to target some big Bronze Backs or perhaps even some Muskellunge? Hope to see you on the water! -AL

Hey Al! Longtime Connecticut angler here. Like to extend a humble "Welcome," from everyone in the state. I assume you are looking especially for Smallmouth Bass and I have to say that Candlewood would probably suit your tastes best. It has a reputation as the unofficial Smallmouth capital of CT. Also, as the CT river gets low for the summer, it can provide some excellent wading for Smallies. I'd love to take you out on the upper CT wading anytime this month (I have extra waders if you need them). Anyway, look forward to seeing you out there. P.S. Did you move here or just thinking of visiting?
