Mt. Hope River 6/2

Got up early on Saturday to fish the Mt. Hope in Ashford with my in-laws. We didn't have much luck at the first few spots, but worked our way back to a nice deep hole near the intersection of Rt. 89 and Tower Hill Rd. Used worms at first, but after catching a half-dozen pumpkinseeds, switched to Powerbait. I've never had a pumpkinseed hit on Powerbait, and I figured the trout would gobble it up. Worked perfectly - landed two nice rainbows in the next few casts. Word of advice: bring lots of bug spray if you're heading back there. We got eaten alive!
