Spring Pond 07/14
Message:
I took my Future Beach Trophy 126 kayak down to Spring Pond this morning and fished the south cove from 8:15 am to 11:00 am. It was sunny and windy. I'd guess that the north wind approached 10 miles per hour. I worked my way counter-clockwise around the cove from the big culvert on the west shore. I took only one setup with me; a red Gamakatsu 4/0 Offset Shank Worm EWG hook with a Zoom Horny Toad frog in Bullfrog. I did a complete circle of the cove, including the south shore of the south island. I got 11 hits on the frog and managed four hooksets on largemouth bass. The last two hits came on a Stanley Ribbit frog in Red Pepper Peeper, but I missed the hookset on both. Three of the bass were shorts and the keeper weighed two pounds, seven ounces: [img:f69aaf9bff]http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/9708/img0780bi.jpg[/img:f69aaf9bff] [img:f69aaf9bff]http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/9640/img0782y.jpg[/img:f69aaf9bff] [img:f69aaf9bff]http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/3894/img0783gx.jpg[/img:f69aaf9bff] [img:f69aaf9bff]http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/2466/img0784mc.jpg[/img:f69aaf9bff]
