Fishing locations (no boat) help
Message:
Hi, I'm new to fishing and new to the forum. I'm looking for some help finding fishing locations (lakes/rivers) not too far from Middletown that I could fish with my brother. We don't have a boat. But I don't mind traveling a bit to get to a good spot. Since we're new to fishing I'm kind of starting small: crappies, bluegills, SMB. But I'm looking forward to one day moving onto to bigger fish. The lake locations can have so many homes and I just don't know if there is a public fishing spot near such areas. Thank you in advance, WAG

I just started fishing too and my friend and I got lots of small mouth bass from Candlewood Lake in western ct. I think I might try Amos Lake soon. It's nice and deep, 47 ft. I hate shallow lakes where I mow the lawn every time I cast and reel in.
