Waders
Message:
Im looking to get some waders for surf fishing later this season. Im looking to spend about $100 plus or minus a but but not too much more. A few recommendations would be nice from those of you who have them and like what you have or not. There are just so many options in breathable, neoprene, vulcanized and rubber and more that my head is spinning and sizing is another thing, What the heck is size 10?? % have a 34 waist pants and am 5'10" where does 10 fall in unless they mean boot size.

No one uses waders here? I think Im going to spend more then I thought and go with 5.5 neoprene from LLBean as they have a lifetime warranty. I only plan on using them when it gets cold out for surf fishing.

Waders are sized by the boot usually or just sized SMLXLXXL and T sizes as well. You would have to get into more expensive waders to get a better fit. I have a pair of Hodgman neoprene waders that I wear when the weather is cold ($70 @ Dicks). In warmer weather I have lightweight breathable waders which I got on sale ($95 @ Dicks). I wouldn't buy waders online unless you get them from a reputable place where you can easily get refund or exchange. If you go to Dicks or Cabelas or any other shop that sells them they will let you try them on. I never wore waders for saltwater fishing so I'm not sure what would be best for you.
