Hurricane Update!
Message:
Hi All!
It's amazing how the local and national Wx news don't tell you everything!
So, Irene is over Hatteras.
Hurricanes feed and intensify over hot water.
I brought up the very latest Gulf Stream surface temp. imagery. 8/27/2011
Western wall of GS is at and slightly shoreward of the 100 fathom curve.
WHOOPS :!: Lots of Hot water at or over 80 degrees north of Hatteras to Long island.
If Irene's eye tracks as predicted (NE'ly), back over the water, and moving as slowly as she is -> Very probable she'll intensify!
NOT GOOD!
This is info the Wx news doesn't seem to tell the public -> But the National Weather Service does and sends out to mariners via radio/fax continuously daily!
So -> Again -> Be Prepared and Stay Safe :!:
