I have used Bass pro reels in the past and thought they were bad. I am sure some of the other bass guys will chime in here. Stick with a Daiwa or Shimano and you can't go wrong!!!!

check and c what reel they compare to physically.Then price shop the brands and choose.You can spend 300 on a reel and hate it or 50 bucks and love it.
Also try and find what company makes the Bass pro reel.It may be like the stop and shop brand of shakespare with a different sticker.
