Stripers on the Housatonic

Hello everyone, I live in Shelton and I was just curious if anybody here uses a kayak or canoe on the housy behind sunnyside or by sikorsky. I am thinking about possibly getting a canoe to use over there because I don't want to spend the money for a real boat, hopefully some of you can let me know if that is a good idea or not. The reason I ask is because I see many people catch plenty of fish from boats, but i hardly see them catch fish from the shore this time of year. Thanks!

I must say you are probably right there but all they are catching is small schoolies pretty much right now. A boat is the way to go though no matter what kind of propulsion it has!
