I've never been to the show in Hartford but I have been to Gander Mtn and they did have a better fishing selection than Cabela's. I still end up at either Cabela's or Dick's because they are both 5min from where I work. The only other place I go is CT Outfitters. I could throw a rock and hit their store from where I work.

Yup! GM is better than Cabelas + more selection on everything and their prices are so much lower! (even in NY). :D
We sure could use a GM or Bass Pro here in New England to give Cabelas some competition.
Still will give the little guys my day to day business!
