Early stripers or perch
Message:
I am going to be on spring break from March 10th to 17th, and looking to plan a trip onto the river in search for some white perch or early schoolies. I have never fished for white perch before so if anyone can mind showing me how its done, i have a spot in my boat for you. PM me if you would like to set up a posisble time to head out. Thanks -Steve

Hi, White Perch? -> I've always used a white jig tipped with 1/2 a crawler. You have to try the coves on the Ct. river as that is where you'll find schools hanging out. Hamburg Cove is well known for White Perch. SeaDog1

Thank you very much Sea Dog. What do they relate to in terms of structure; near current, slow water? Fished under a bobber Jigged in the water column, on the bottom? Thank you, -Steven
