Golf Course Pond

Wade (Fishfinder) and I hit a local golf course Saturday for about 3 hours. We moved around to a few ponds and saw bluegills stacked up but bass not too active. Wade was hitting the bluegills and pumpkinseeds pretty well with nightcrawlers and also got a bass with one. He also hit another cookie cutter with a shallow plug. I played around with a few lures and found the fish to be more interested in a 6cm Husky Jerk. Later I found that there was a certain retrieve they were looking for. Once I gave the Husky Jerk some extra aggression with a few pauses, they'd hit it more often and chase it all the way. Wade caught over 10 bluegills and pumpkinseeds combined and 2 cookie cutter bass while I got 2 cookie cutter bass and 4 bluegills.

Yeah, I think I need to switch usernames with Bluegill terminator! LOL Weird, I put a little weight on and cast out a little further and not a bite, take that weight off and couldnt get past them sunnies. Throwing lures out all day tears my back up as Michael seen this time, didnt take my usual amount and I had to sit it out for awhile. Good lord Michael, now everyone knows my name here and Ill have to go into hiding! LOL
