Hit up the pond for 1hour + after work today. Threw a black/blue jig, a firetiger spinnerbait and a Rapala Shad Rap that for some reason just kept running left.  I broke off the jig on a submerged tree/bush and then tied on a brown/green jig and fat Albert green-pumpkin grub trailer. The grub was in a bag w Chartreuse grubs and had a hint of chartreuse in the tail :) Caught a bass within 5 casts. Fished the weed line around the pond and battled the wind which picked up quite a bit. Missed a couple fish who didn't commit to  the jig.  Before I left I went and pitched it to a stump where I usually have some luck. It got picked up and let go.  Pitched again, same story. Pitched once more and let him take the jig before I set the hook. Both bass were small but first catches of the year for me so I'm happy for now. Those guys were there today however they left empty handed :).. I think the fish in there are pretty conditioned to not bite anything from the launch area or they just don't hang out there. Not sure where the big ones are yet.
