Halls Pond Ashford, CT

I fished today in Ashford, Connecticut at Halls Pond. Water temperature was 58°. I started fishing at about 1:30 PM and on my third cast. I caught a 3 pound, 9 ounce largemouth bass. I was using a perch finish Clackin Rap.,fourth cast about 14 inch chain pickerel. I ended up staying with that same lure for the rest of the day. I caught another largemouth bass 171/2 inches long, lost one at boat side about the same size, and five more Pickerel, the longest about 19 inches in the shortest about 16 inches. I left the pond at 3:30 All fish caught in the shallows within 10-15 ft of shore.

Nice job for a 2 hour trip. The Clackin Series lures by Rapala are killers with that hard cadence rattle.
