Bait

Hey buy some feather jigs and catch some shad and use them for bait ad you troll. use a circle hook with a leader and 35 lb test or 45 lb test with a 3 oz weight and let it sink and troll in the middle and near the dam use lures that look like shad near the dam

There are so many options. If you are in the Wethersfield area, I suggest you stop by CT Outfitters and talk to Blaine or check out their seminar series. They are free and very informative. If you want to troll I would suggest tube and worm. I use Tman's stuff but there are others out there, I just happen to like his the best. For lures I just love topwater, it is without question my favorite way to catch stripers. After that it is soft plastics for me. 7 & 10 inch fin-s and 9" sluggos are my favorite. Get out, experiment and have some fun in the new boat.
