Private Lake Sunnies

After the small pond, I went to the private lake. I saw lots of bluegills and pumpkinseeds along the shore in nests. The main lure I played with was a 4cm hot mustard muddler X-Rap. That had the bluegills and seeds going crazy, along with a few yellows and bass. Caught 1 yellow around 10", 3 bluegills up to 9" 12 ounces, and 2 pumpkinseeds up to 8" 10 ounces. The pumpkinseeds were the ones being very aggressive. Also missed out on 2 bass, probably because of how small the hooks are on the lure. The retrieve I stuck with was 3 or 4 slashbait jerks with an occasional pause before doing a few twitches. That had the sunnies going crazy! Hit the road around 6:45pm.
