Jordan's Cove

So since today was opening day I figured I would try something different and hit Jordans Cove in Waterford/Niantic. I got out there around 9am and fished till about noon. The fog was unbelievably bad which made it hard for me to take my boat out too far. I went out to about the mouth of the cove and hit a few other spots. Not much luck, only thing I caught was this alien life of a fish...

Kidding, but yeah looks like an ugly skate. I used both sandworms and smelt. Somewhat dissapointed and not really used to saltwater fishing so a lot was new to me. As I started to head back it started to clear up a bit. I fished 20-40ft of water.

I know you can eat rays which are the same family, but that's an ugly fish.
