fishing "report?"

Well, I had a couple of hours this late afternoon to do a little fishing....was going to go to Hockanum river @ exit 60 but there were a bunch of people there.. so I decided to go over to Union pond (part of the hockanum system) .. so I went over to the spill way on Union road..well, I may have discovered my calling when it comes to fishing.... Clean up...yup, clean up... almost literaly every cast I caught a stick/branch/bag/log...lost a football jig to a ...well, don't know, I'm sure that there are grocery carts, tires, refridgeraters, cars, dead bodies, pants, all kinds of crap in that pond...it's rather gross in my opinion..but today I gave it a shot. So, if you see a guy, catching branches, logs and all kinds of crap except FISH..that'll be me! Anyway, I tried a black and yellow mepp spinner, a yellow and white 3/8 oz double bladed spinner bait and left after I lost my black and blue football style jig 3/8 oz to a who knows what down there. I am going fishing tomorrow, not sure where yet but I'll find a place..

I've been picking up the trash at my local trout pond, but I've also been leaving lures in the trees on the opposite shore. :roll: I caught a small brown trout with a white two inch curlytail grub on a 1/16 ounce round jighead, but was wishing that I had some more roostertails. One with black feathers worked well for me the last time that I was there.

Funny, I threw a rooster tail just like that about 47 times today with no luck at a local pond with no action. Every I went today was dead and not just for me but everyone. The river I was killing them on last year is not producing at all this year! Chud, sorry to hear about your day, Ive had those days way too many times, barely caught anything today but for once didnt lose anything for once!
