I'm looking into getting a portable fish finder. Does anybody have any suggestions on which one i should get. I'm looking into spending around $200 even though i will go up a little more if necessary.

Hi, I got a, new to market, Garmin echo300c and it is portable by putting the transducer on a piece of PVC pipe. This is color fish finder and I love it! It's what I use for all my freshwater fishing -> especially Kokanee. You will have to purchase seperatly a small 12 volt battery for it. Got it from Sails Marine, an internet company based here in Ct. Priced a little more then $200.00. www.sailsmarine.com You can also Google Garmin up and look at the specs. SeaDog1

$219.99 on Bass Pro with a $30 mail in rebate. That puts you under your $200, just my $.02
