CT River Mouth 5/6
Message:
Fished the incoming tide for a few hours Sunday morning in the southern most section of the river. Air was about 55 degrees and it was partly cloudy.
Trolled with tubes for the first hour or so with no luck. We then found and drifted with some decent schools of bait fish for the remaining time. Threw a number of different kinds of lures and waited to see if any bass would show up.
I never hooked anything, but my brother managed to get his first keeper of the season that measured in at about 29 inches. He hooked it on a gold and black storm wildeye shad worked slowly in about 15 feet of water.
