Channel Cat/ Vivert Road Boatlaunch
Message:
It was my first time fishing down at the Vivert Road Boat launch. Me and my Friend got there around 2ish i would say and were fishing for a good 2 hours just hooking up with schoolies in the 15-20 Inch range when all of a sudden my pole started getting slammed. After a short fight i ended up reeling in my first ever catfish. Got him on a sandworm on a very cloudy day. There's a submerged stone wall in the river to the north of Vibert Road. It extends halfway out into the river from the east bank. I think that the break in the current helps to hold fish on that bank. Here's a satellite photo of the area from Google Maps: [img:01f7a225e0]http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/5580/connecticutriversouthwi.jpg[/img:01f7a225e0]

Peco do you know if you can fish on shore from the launch all the way up to the underwater stone wall? Is it private property I wonder if you start walking up river?
