Farmington 05/09

Hey everyone, today I was a bit busy earlier in the day and couldn't get out until mid afternoon. so I decided to hit the Farmington for a few hours.
I fished a pool in Farmington. I fished it a week after opening day and hit some very nice rainbows. Today I managed 3 small mouths and a salmon on worms. I've had very little success with lures of any sort this year in the Farmington. I was shocked to see the small mouths because the area I was fishing had fast moving water. I heard rumors that CT put a bunch of fingerling salmon in recently and boy they were going nuts on the top of the water. It looked like bluefish blitzing. I fished from 1:45-2:45. I avoided the skunk which was good.
There was a gentlemen fly fishing next me and he wasn't doing to well either.

Curious what town you were in catching smallies. I've heard reports of them in the colder trout waters of the West Branch. Trying to confirm with rod and reel but have yet to.

I was catching them near the River Front Mini Golf in Farmington. They weren't huge but they were decent
