My buddy's new PB carp

Headed down to a spot we've been preparing and keepin an eye on lately. We've stuck some pretty decent fish so far this season. Numerous fish in the upper teens and quite a few into the 20lb range, and also including Mike's PB of 31lbs 7oz. The plan was to meet up at 6. Well apparently 6 means 5. Found that out when I was headin down the road at 5:15 to grab a coffee and take my time and I gotta text with a picture of our spot tellin me he was holdin down the forte. Turns out Mike got the same text and he was closer to the swim than I was! Anyways, we wet our lines about 5:45. Got some quick pulls, stuck a couple fish in the low 20's. Not a bad start to the morning. Bryan found his "secret" bait in the freezer from last year, and had his "secret" method mix goin as well, which has been workin extremely well for him. I'd tell ya whats in it, but he ripped all the labels off the containers all the ingredients came in... So a few more pulls and no hookups. We pretty much all switched it up from maize strings to a batch of homemade boilies. Mike fished it alone with a PVA full of pack bait, I tipped mine with a piece of pop-up maize, and Bryan tipped his with his "secret" freezer bait. Well it paid off. He gotta huge run outta nowhere. No play, no nothin. Just took off like a rocket. He gotta great hookset and the fight was on. A lengthy battle took place, gotta glimpse of the fish after 5 minutes or so, and we could tell it was a hefty fish. With great net work from Mike, we soon had the beast in the safety of the weigh sling on top of a cushion to prevent self inflicted damage. We weighed her up, and it came in at a whopping 32lbs 15oz [img:072f245147]http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z409/JustinSolak/DSCN0380.jpg[/img:072f245147] Out of respect for the monster, Bryan kicked off his shoes, rolled up his pants, and waded into the water, making sure that the fish was back in healthy condition and revived enough to swim off with force. A few fish were banked after that, nothing major. And we got to meet a few interesting people along the way. The sun got too high, so we took off before noon, but more than likely headed back out for a night session. Bryan: I don't wanna have to tell all your future stories... Join the forum!

Wow! The warm weather seems to have helped the carp more than any other fish this year. Congrats to Bryan!
