Fished Niantic/Watch Hill Blowing 15+
Message:
Sea Hunt Al and I started at 6a.m. at Watch Hill and the snotty East wind made us head East to Niantic, Fishers Island blocked some of that horrid East blow. Fished for some porgy to use for bait, couldn't find them anywhere. Trolled and cast for 6 hours and managed to get a 30" and a 36" Striper casting a swim bait and squid lures. The 36" fish had a 10" fresh squid in it's belly. Sorry about the no pics, too damn windy, foggy and rainy. "East Blow Don't Go" I always try to prove this wrong but never can. Have a great weekend all. Thanks to our Troops

Wind must have really picked up. I fished Friday night and Sat. morning out of Niantic in my small boat. Posted the report at http://www.ctfishtalk.com/small-boat-yak-fishing-in-the-niantic-area-t9441.html. I was off the water early due to the fog and the fear of pleasure cruising idiots later in the morning. Good news is that the fish are coming in and I'll be able to fish around Two Tree and the backside of Bartlett's.
