lake konomoc or montville CT surrounding area info wanted

I'm looking for a lake or pond near montville ct to fish from a boat this weekend. Preferable a body of water that has a speed limit or motor restriction so i don't have to worry about the weekend boating madness of the bigger lakes. I was looking at lake konomoc on google map but couldn't find much out about it. any info on that lake or any other lakes or ponds with bass in that area would be much appreciated! I'm from North east CT but my brother lives in montville ct and we were planning to try something in his area.
