Took it Easy Close by Today
Message:
After these past 3 days of heat and rushing home before the storm Tuesday, I decided to take it easy close by today. Nicer out anyway now that the cold front has moved through.
Around 2:30pm I started off at the upper part of Beardsley Park on the Pequonnock. The lure I stuck with was the 6cm yellow perch Husky Jerk and did the same retrieves as yesterday.
Plenty of aggressive redbreasts kept on chasing the Husky Jerk with an occasional yellow perch or rock bass. Did catch 1 rock bass.
Moved downstream and got into another 3 rock bass at one spot.
Didn't stay at Bunnells Pond for too long but did catch 1 crappie and 1 bluegill.
Once it got warmer out as the sun came out, I took a break at the local Duchess with something to drink.
Then went to the Wonderland of Ice. One spot had tons of redbreasts that kept on chasing the Husky Jerk. Caught 1. Another spot produced 1 rock bass and 1 bluegill.
Checked underneath the bridge at the entrance to the Wonderland of Ice and hit a 12" largemouth there. Plenty of redbreasts once again.
Last stop was Glenwood Park and hit those rock bass, crappie, and bluegills once again. Caught 3 crappie, 2 rock bass, and 2 bluegills. 1 bluegill was a keeper and 1 crappie was edible.
Hit the road around 8pm.

I'm a freshwater fisherman who doesn't have any special fish to target, unless it's a certain time of the year. I'll fish for anything that grabs the other end of the line in freshwater.
