Good smallIe spots near northern rt 8?
Message:
I caught my first SMB out of Burr Pond this week. It was less that 1/2 pound but fought like a 2 lb LMB. I'd really like to try targeting them, but don't know where to go. I live in Naugy but work in Torington, so does anyone know any good spots around the northern part of rt. 8 with decent shore access? Also, any good tips on smallie targeting? I got the one on a 5 inch senko, which is my standard for LMB lately.

colebrook would be the best choice as far as shore action goes. when they drain some water down it really opens up the shore access. long rod, light floro line can only help. tubes and jigs and dropshot if you like.
