Small Bass and Stumps 6/17

I went out today from 7am to 2pm. Weather: Cloudy until 9am, then partly cloudy and hot Water temp: 70 in the morning, 72 in the afternoon Wind: none in the morning, 5-7mph in the sun We started out fishing spinnerbaits, creature baits, and wacky senkos first in the morning around rocks in 4-7ft. Fast and slow presentations with 10lb flouro didn't produce anything but panfish bites, so we moved to fish some stumps in 10-15ft off the west shore. Our baits weren't working, so I picked up the dropshot with a green pumpkin ringworm with a 15" leader and dropped it right next to the stumps. This produced 5 fish, all 12-15". Once we reached a point, I got a 2lbr on a white chatterbait in 13ft over weeds with a medium speed presentation. We went to the back and fished the pads and stumps in 5-7ft with frogs and jigs respectively, with no fish to show. By this time, it was sunny out, and we went back to the stumps that produced earlier but got no action for largemouths, but instead put 12 rock bass in the boat on the drop shot ringworms. By that time it was almost 2pm, so we left to get away from the heat.
