WET - CT River - 8/15/07
Message:
Sorry for the late report. Fished the WET trail this past Wednesday on the CT River out of the Salmon from 5pm-9pm wiht BAWSman Steve Slay. There were around 15 boats there. We ran to Selden's to start with only a few bites and a white perch to show for it. Head up the to Salmon for the last two hours. Slay man had some major blow ups on a frog in the weeds, but no hookups. I finally got what looked like a nice bass off the weedline on a chugger, looked to be about a 4+ lber, but when we got it in the boat it was all skinny and nasty - just like the one my buddy got at Gardner last week. We only managed one more 13 incher after that. The fish weighed 3.60 lbs, but easily should've been 4.25 or more if it were healthy. Winners had 5 fish for 12+. Someone else had lunker with a LM around 4.5 lbs. Nice night out there once the wind died down.
