Hi, Some of you may have noticed the animated stamp when I sign off on a post.[img:f2e1018353]http://www.ctfishtalk.com/gallery2.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=14627[/img:f2e1018353] Well, I have done a lot of in-depth geneology research, the past 15 months, on my family history since I am 100% Polish. I was surprised and delighted to find that both sides of my family are decendents from the famous "Polish Winged Hussars or Husaria for short". [img:f2e1018353]http://www.ctfishtalk.com/gallery2.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=16456[/img:f2e1018353] Well the following, some may find interesting because it is recorded historic FACT :!: The "Polish Winged Hussars" were the most Beautiful, Heavily Armored, and Undefeated cavalry in all of recorded civilized human history! The following videos do a better job then I can: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEqo9Rip_ZE www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaGZ1tdAVdo&feature=related Now this next article, is a bit tounge in cheek, but gives an overall explanation about the "Winged Hussars" www.badassoftheweek.com/hussars.html Now to all my fellow sportsmen here on CTFT, "who have so much as a drop of Polish blood in them" this is part of your glorious history, it is your legacy, it is what's in you -> Character, Integrity, Honor, The will to stand and fight for your Beliefs! The Motto of the "Winged Hussars" " [b:f2e1018353] "NEVER GIVE IN ... NEVER BACK DOWN"[/b:f2e1018353] [img:f2e1018353]http://www.ctfishtalk.com/gallery2.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=16454[/img:f2e1018353] I never knew this until recently, but I have live by this motto all my life without ever realizing it. Guess you all now know why I'm ME! ....It's in the Blood :!: Best regards, SeaDog1 [img:f2e1018353]http://www.ctfishtalk.com/gallery2.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=14627[/img:f2e1018353] " Never Give In ... Never Back Down"

My dad's side has a Polish-Slovak mix. I love it when it's time for dinner at my dad's parents' place on Christmas and Easter. That delicious pure Polish kielbasa from an import store to go with the ham, deviled eggs, and potato salad. The traditional Slovak mushroom soup is my favorite food for Christmas. That delicious broth with the flavor from the sauerkraut juice. Years ago Bridgeport's East Side, Mill Hill, and Beardsley Loop was filled with the Polish and Slovaks. The Beardsley Loop by Beardsley Park is where my grandparents grew up. Polish and Slovaks went to Harding High while the Italians went to Bassick and Central.
