Farmington river a ton of questions
Message:
I dont fly fish much and want to go to the farmington river with a spinning rod. Where are some good pools where you can spin fish i would love detailed direction ( roads, access points etc)? I love trout fishing and never fished the farmy but i need deep pools where i can drift bait and pull trout out all day? PLease please help me i want to go so badly because it is one of the only trout rivers that the trout bite in the summer?

Hi, Go to the DEEP web site and look for the Trout stocking maps. There are 6 maps for the Farmington River + locations and accesses. Spinning gear is allowed on the Farmington River. Read though the Ct. Angler's Guide 1st as there are TMA areas where only barbless hooks are allowed. Also read the latest fishing report (June 21) SeaDog1

I know i even printed out a map of the west branch but that doesnt give me enough details for where to fish. finally i usually use corn and mealworms will that work there
