Can I have three rods on my kayak?
Message:
I know one should not use more than two rods when fishing. But Can I take three rods when I kayak on the lake, or I can only take two?

You can take 10...as long as you can fit them lol..Kidding aside there's no regulations on how many you carry, it's how many you use.

Well, to clarify what Steve said, it's how many lines you have in the water at one time:
[quote:5a05422742]26-112-43. Definitions and restrictions
(a) "Angling" means fishing with hook and line which shall be personally attended, but shall not include ice fishing or snagging or snatching. [b:5a05422742]Not more than two lines, with or without rods, may be used at one time.[/b:5a05422742] Each line may have any combination of hooks, flies or lures, among which not more than three hooks may be baited[/quote:5a05422742].
Although a lot of kayak fishermen bring more than two setups with them, I think it's best if you could get by with only two. I've seen guys head out with three and come back in with only two. Less is more, sometimes.
