candlewood lake 6/28
Message:
so yesterday i hit candlewood for my first time. after a long 1 1/2 hour drive to candlewood, we got on the water at 2 PM (squantz pond state park launch). we asked some people how the fishing was that day and they said it was bad but i knew fishing the lake for the first time would be hard because we dont know any good spots. we didn't get any bites until about 5 pm when my dad felt a small tick on his line, but couldn't get the hook set good enough and the fish got away. i tried fishing a different bait because my super flukes weren't working the the deep bass. i took my trusty senko out and wacky rigged it. it was about 6 pm and i threw my first cast with the senko and the fish would take it slowly. we caught about 20 SMB, here are the first 2 we caught that day and then my phone battery ran out.
