Chris and I hit the Charles Island Sandbar on the outgoing starting around 11:30am. I stuck with the FLR-10 while Chris played around with a few lures.
Didn't see or smell anything while we were out there.
My first cast of the day had a fluke on but lost it when it tried to jump. Chris and I were both into sea robins but nothing like the Reef. Both of us got close to 10 each. One of my sea robins was like a PB to me! It had the head of a southern flathead and a monster tail!
Chris didn't have any luck while throwing a number of poppers. He also threw a bucktail out there rigged with a rubber eel and worked it steadily on the bottom. He had 1 sea robin come up for it as he took it out of the water. He also got it stuck on rocks but was able to get it back. He landed 1 sea robin with a red head Redfin, about 2 or 3 with a Long A, and all the others with with a FLR-10.
On the way back in as we casted out, I landed a 14" fluke on the FLR-10.
We were out of the water by 1:30pm.
Comparing Thursday to Friday, I'd say be out there either dusk or dawn on the incoming and peek high if you're looking for bait and fish.

Tried fishing around charles island on Saturday. Got nothing, not even a tug on the lines. Moved back over to behind the breakwater at the housatonic and caught sea robins and hooked a couple fluke but all managed to come off the hook at the boat. The amount of bunker pods moving through was unreal. One even twisted itself up in my line and I caught it without even trying for them. But, nothing was feeding on them. I must have seen dozens of pods move through, first time I've ever seen that many.
