Lake Hayward
Message:
The DEP sprayed pesticide on the lake on 6/26. Much of the vegetation is dying and the Hayward Association are a bunch of pussies who can't handle some lily pads in "their" swimming area.
The fish don't seem to be affected much by it in terms of their physical nature, but it certainly has thrown them for a loop.
That is all.

Thanks for the report. My GF's parents have a lake house on Hayward and i'll be there this weekend. I hope to do some fishing in there little boat, i've been out a few times. The DEP guide shows there to be LM,SM, panfish, and Pickerel. Is that accurate?
Since the DEP put in pesticide does it seem to have slowed the bite down?

I don't know much about Hayward, but the good news is if all else fails you have Moodus, Bashan, and Pickerel Lake all right down the road. :D
