CT record fish question
Message:
I know a spot that has a pumpkinseed that is either close to or is the record for the state (1.3lbs). If i catch this fish what do i need to do if it is actually a record for the state? Im buying a digital scale sometime this week btw.

Bring it to a certified place that has a scale like a bait shop or deli. Get a printout, get a good picture of you with the fish as well at the spot. Fill out the form and have a witness sign it that was there. I think that's it? Check the DEP's website there is a little more information. Certified weight and picture are the most important. Just to be safe I would take several pics of it measured, weighed, etc.
