Asking advice on shore fishing spots at Mouth of Housy

Can some recommend a spot or two where my son and I might fish the mouth of the housatonic river in Stratford?? I'm interested in going Saturday but have never fisherd the area. Thank fellas

3 places would include Short Beach, Long Beach, and Russian Beach. Birdseye Dock might also work out.
You need to either be a Stratford resident or pay to get into Short Beach by car. If you still want to go there but are going by car, then park on the side of the road where the condos are if you're willing to walk.
Russian Beach is at the Stratford Breakwall in Lordship.
