Bluff Point SP?
Message:
i've been looking at maps and Bluff Point looks like a good spot that i doubt gets crowded too much thanks to the long walk/bike ride to the water. anyone fish there and have any luck? thanks..

I go out there on occasion. It's a great walk regardless of how the fishing is. There is usually a pretty consistent (small) crowd of fishermen out there on the rocks at the point. I assume they are after porgies. Last summer I saw someone that had landed a 30" or so striper too. There's usually a line of weeds on the surface just off the rocks so casting can be tough. If you walk out on the beach there supposedly there are occasional surface feeds out there. Never seen any myself. If you want an even longer walk you can head to the end of the beach and fish from the little bit of marsh on the back side. I have pulled a couple schoolies out of the channel there.

yes most are taking porgies from the shore/rocks from bluff.. I have seen an occasional fluke taken from a long shore cast from the beach portion (near avery point end) ... -t
