This board was designed for the free confluence of fishing reports and information from members across CT and the surrounding states, yes, but there is a little more behind the choice as well.
Certian sites that most people are be coming from were good, but we here at CTFishTalk believed they had a core shortcoming: central members running the discussion, ALL the time.
While it is good that there was a group of people who posted an awful lot, but we wanted to make a board where everyone felt welcome, from the seasoned pro to the new guy on the water.
We want everyone here to feel comfortable posting their questions here and their responses, be they 15 or 90, CTFT is here to help you become a better fisherman.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm not that great, and often times I felt stupid asking questions on the old site. Or I was told by one of the uberfishpeople to "search." There are times where search is helpful, but members here should always, if time permits, reply to new members.
Half the joy of fishing is sharing and helping other people to discover their own love for fishing. As such, welcome to these boards, and please keep an open mind and be helpful! No super members here, just a place for good people to get together and share information.
We welcome "Lurkers" and hope that there won't be too many of them by virtue of the openness of this board. Lurk if you want, but if you have a quesiton, drop a post! We'll be happy to help!
Again, Welcome, and enjoy. Any complaints or suggestions, please PM me, I'll be happy to look into them!
~Sevn
PS - you'll notice there are no "member numbers" here. We welcome all, regardless of when you show up! Everybody is equal here, and that is our core goal.

Okay,..those are some real good groundrules,..but I STILL have a low number regardless of whether you show it!!
(jusssstttt kidding!! )
I've been a regular on some national forums for years and I ALWAYS tell folks that the only dumb questions are the ones that don't get asked!! I owe a very large percentage of my fishing sucess to what I've learned from online forums,..and I'm always eager to help anyone with what I've learned!!
ps: I've done a lot of "lake X" posting the last few years and I'll do whatever the masses want on here. I would like to point out that I was always happy to share specific info about EXACTLY where I was fishing whenever anyone asked me privately though! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

howdy fellas. I too came from "site x" and happy to be onboard. If anyone has any questions pertaining to fluke fishing, feel free to ask me anytime. Fluking is my specialty and I'd be happy to share my tips, techniques to anyone who asks. I'll be posting reports each time I go in the hopes somebody may benefit from them.
