Yesterday afternoon I happened on a good green caddis hatch at the Bull's Bridge TMA.
Fish were rising all over the pool! I managed to land 3 trout, but had a ton of rejections. The fish were aggressive, but picky when I drifted my flies over them.
Today I went to Cornwall early. Since there weren't any risers, I tried streamers, but only had one follow that I noticed. I switched to nymphs and jumped around to several different pools and landed 9 trout. 13 inch rainbow was the best.
Fished from 7am to 1pm |

They were rising like mad last night in the pool just above the covered bridge, right around 7PM, they dropped off by 8. Smallies in that pool are active on things banging along the bottom. I might try out that way again this afternoon.
