Got out for a couple of hours after work yestarday. Fished the flats near the river mouth below the train bridge. Nothing huge,..but I finally managed to find some fish for a change! I quit after catching a dozen,..but definitely could've got more if I'd have stayed longer. Caught most of them on a white houdini, but also had a few with a small rubber eel on a jighead and a white crankbait. Couldn't get them to touch anything on the surface and they were too small for an 8" swimbait that I threw for a while (although they did bump it once or twice). Largest fish was in the low 20's, water temp was 53 and it was the first half of outgoing tide! I saw another handful of fish caught on other boats, but they were all small as well! Cool

I would bet on the Skeeter. Water may be a little too cold still for Mark to take his Hobie.

The temp is fine for the Hobie,..however there was a stiff wind blowing, just below whitecapping level. So it was defintely a Skeeter trip and even in that I was getting bounced pretty good! Cool
