Stay in the upper (i.e., north) reservoir and head to where the Fenton River flows into it. Largemouth bass often stick around the culvert and the channel.

That was some good advice@ peco. Every fish was in the 2 -3 lb. range we caught 6 lmb catch and release.

I'm glad you found some fish. Now, catch a northern pike there and post a photo. I've never seen one there, despite the "rumors". Wink

@justcool glad you did well the other day, sadly this place has gone down hill. Fish are still there but the weeds have gotten worse every year.

There are definitely some big bass in there. You have to work for them but they are all over. Most of the time I have decent luck around the cove at the boat launch too as this is where the tournaments release I think. I have had the best luck with large Texas rigged worms.
