Thanks, guys. SeaDog - Yeah, that was the first thing I said after looking at the pics. You can see the background, the fish, etc. but what stands out are my big glowing horse teeth. Very Happy Sorry, I couldn't help it. We can do it again at Hopeville, but remember that's where I got hooked on pike. All but this one were taken there. Phil does know my spot, though, so I guess I'll have to get there real early. Wink
About this whole live bait/dead bait thing - it's like BT says. Who cares. If your catching fish, then power to ya. My personal opinion is everybody's right. During the spring/early summer when the pike are hunting in the shallow weedbeds, I prefer live bait, because that's what they are hunting. During the fall and winter is when the baitfish start dying off (mid summer sometimes, too) and I'll use more deadbait, because ,again, that's what they are eating. Bottom line is there are no sure things - especially when it comes to pike.

Man, I have GOT to get to Bantam Lake someday! (Of course that would require having a boat).

I think I need to meet all of you so I can bribe you with a Champlain lake house weekend to take my wife and I out to some of CT's hot spots.
